You can make a car faster with more power, help it stop quicker with larger brakes, or sharpen its handling with a more aggressive chassis. BUT, if you want all of that without adding anything... you subtract. A difference of 25 kg sets this 992 apart from a "standard" GTS. Yet, that isn't even the most special thing about the car...

Equipped from the factory with what is known in Germany as the ∗Leichtbau∗ (lightweight) package, this 992 Carrera GTS stands out from the crowd. This package sheds weight by adding a carbon-fiber roof, thinner glass, and deleting the rear seats, alongside a series of smaller modifications. It is an extremely rare option that gives the driver a car comparable to a "GT3-lite." On the outside, this magnificent GTS shines with a clean, uncluttered look. While the car is classic black underneath, it has been protected since new with a stone-chip film tinted to match Porsche’s own Amethyst color. Combined with SportDesign side skirts and the black GTS package, it is perhaps one of the most beautiful 911s we have seen recently; the 992’s clean, taut lines require the right lighting for that purple hue to truly reveal itself.

But it is only when you open the door that this 911 truly surprises. A black GTS interior featuring a mix of Alcantara and leather—and, of course, carbon-fiber bucket seats! Cool and highly unexpected. Yet, your eyes are immediately drawn to the center console: no PDK selector here, but rather a 7-speed manual gearbox. It is hard to put into words just how special this makes the car. Beyond the sheer driving pleasure associated with this setup, this is also the final iteration of the Carrera GTS ever offered with a manual transmission.

There are plenty of 992 Carrera GTS models out there. But cars like this one? None.
