Ferrari 296 Challenge

The Ferrari 296 Challenge represents the newest generation of Ferrari one make race cars and has been engineered with one clear objective: maximum and repeatable circuit performance. This is not an evolution, but a fundamentally new platform, where every technical decision has been made with endurance reliability, data consistency and driver development within the Ferrari Challenge programme in mind.

The powertrain is a heavily modified 3.0 litre V6 twin turbo, without any hybrid components. By completely removing the HY KERS system, overall weight has been reduced and the focus has shifted entirely to balance and thermal stability. The engine produces 700 hp, delivering a highly linear power curve and immediate throttle response. It is paired with a six speed sequential gearbox featuring race specific ratios and software calibrated for race starts, repeated push laps and long stints without power fade.

Aerodynamically, the 296 Challenge makes a major step forward compared to the 488 Challenge Evo. The fixed rear wing works in harmony with a fully redesigned floor, a more aggressive front splitter and a larger diffuser. The result is significantly increased downforce and a wider aerodynamic window. The balance between front and rear is mechanically adjustable, allowing teams to fine tune the car precisely to circuit characteristics and driving style, without compromising high speed stability.

The chassis is lighter and stiffer, featuring revised suspension geometry developed specifically for racing. Combined with slick tyres and an advanced braking system equipped with race ABS and traction control, the car delivers exceptional mechanical grip and a highly predictable limit. The electronic systems are fully adjustable and engineered for lap time consistency rather than road safety.

The interior is entirely functional and built around the driver. A FIA roll cage, racing bucket seat and multifunction steering wheel with extensive data logging and telemetry provide direct feedback and enable efficient setup analysis and driver optimisation. Every detail has been designed to inspire confidence at high speed and maintain maximum focus during competitive racing.

This brand new example is finished in deep black 'Nero DS' with gold accents and equipped with no less than €36,000 in factory options. These include an XL FIA certified driver seat, a large passenger seat, PPF on the windscreen, a professional camera system and a special racing timing system. Everything has been specified with competitive use in mind.
