Service history and maintenance:

All service intervals have been observed during my ownership. Before I purchased the vehicle, it was also regularly serviced, mainly by Porsche.

The vehicle has received regular maintenance, including:

Engine oil and oil filter
Air filter
Pollen filter
Brake fluid and other fluids
Inspection for oil leaks, corrosion and other faults
Air-conditioning service carried out last year
Front CV joint boots replaced
Brakes replaced

The vehicle is in good mechanical condition.

Transfer case:

Transfer-case issues are known on some Porsche Macan models. When I leased the vehicle, I received confirmation that the transfer case had been inspected by Porsche.

A software update for the automatic transmission control was also carried out by Porsche in 2020. The vehicle currently has no faults or symptoms relating to the transfer case.

Air suspension and chassis:

The air suspension works correctly, and there are no warning lights or known faults. The suspension and chassis are in very good condition, and the vehicle has no oil leaks.

Known issue:

The vehicle has a common Porsche Macan characteristic where a slight creaking noise can occasionally come from the bonnet contact points. This may occur when driving diagonally over a large bump and the body flexes slightly.

The noise comes from the plastic contact points between the bonnet and the body. It is normally solved by lubricating the contact points with Krytox. This has no effect on the vehicle’s handling, safety or driving characteristics.
